SVP & Managing Director, Sapient Global Markets

Chip Register is the Managing Director of Sapient Global Markets and serves on the Leadership Team of Sapient Corporation. In these capacities, he is heavily involved in the ongoing strategic planning, business development, and operational management of the firm.
Prior to joining Sapient, Register built and managed several merchant trading businesses for Louis Dreyfus Energy Services (LDES), one of the largest privately-held commodity traders in the world. Prior to LDES, he managed Essent Energy Trading, the merchant subsidiary of the largest Dutch utility. In both capacities, he partnered with Sapient and chartered the company to play a significant role designing and implementing solutions for the businesses he was building.
Register spent ten years before Essent trading commodities and foreign exchange, and he was instrumental in the development of trading businesses for Weyerhaeuser and CIBC World Markets, while living in Toronto, and the UBS in New York.
Register currently lives in Westport, Connecticut with his wife and daughter.

Randall Orbon
VP, Advisory Services and Global Markets Strategy

Randall Orbon serves as a key leader in Sapient's trading and risk management practice and is a part of the practice's leadership team. He is heavily involved in defining strategy, driving business development and executing key components of the strategy. Most recently, this has included leadership of the business consulting and solutions capabilities.
He joined in 1996 and has built a breadth and depth of experience that spans Sapient's capabilities, but is focused on Capital and Commodities markets. This has included the development of key relationships with investment banks, hedge funds, asset management firms, and energy trading companies. Randall has spent significant time working in both the US and Europe. Currently he is based in New York. Prior to New York, Randall spent seven years in London and led the Financial and Energy Services business there.
Randall holds a BSE in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia and London Business Schools.

Josh Sutton
VP, Asset Management and Investment Banking

Josh Sutton serves as a key leader within Sapient's trading and risk management practice. During his thirteen years at Sapient, he has led a variety of programs spanning front to back office. He has a strong understanding of energy, equity, fixed income, and credit products. From a systems point of view, Josh also has a very strong understanding of the challenges most often faced by trading firms based on his time spent as a systems architect where he lead enterprise initiatives for multiple trading firms.
Since joining Sapient he has been instrumental in developing Sapient's trading and risk management practice. He has achieved this through developing strong partnerships with multiple investment banks, hedge funds, asset management firms, and energy trading companies. His background includes a wide range of activities, including IT and business strategy, program management of multi-hundred person initiatives, and enterprise technology development. His practical experience is grounded in an undergraduate education from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sudeepto Mukherjee
VP, Investment Banking & Energy and Commodities

Sudeepto Mukherjee is a Vice President within Sapient's Global Markets business unit and is currently responsible for running a large portfolio of their Banking and Utility clients based out of Europe. He has been with Sapient since 1995 and has a track record of building deep relationships with senior clients in this sector and advising them on complex issues around IT and business change. Over the last 15 years he has held a variety of positions within Sapient, including that of a senior client executive where he was responsible for growing some of Sapient's leading investment banking relationships in Europe. He has also held other senior roles within Financial Services in North America and India where he helped clients deliver large business change and IT initiatives as well as led teams to deliver enterprise applications across asset classes.
Sudeepto holds a Masters in Computer Engineering from Boston University and a Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, India.

Jason Roberts
VP, Asset Management & Investment Banking

Jason Roberts joined Sapient in 1999 and leads the firm's Global Asset Management practice. In this capacity he is responsible for setting strategy and leading strategic engagements within Sapient's Asset Management client base. Additionally, Jason manages Sapient's relationships with several Investment Banks. Prior to taking on the practice leadership role, Jason was responsible for several key relationships with leading Institutional Asset Managers and Hedge Funds. His background includes leading IT and business consulting initiatives across multiple functions within the investment management process.
Prior to joining Sapient, Jason worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Accenture. He currently lives in Hingham, MA with his wife and two children.

Jonathan Davies
VP, Chairman of Global Markets Advisory Council

Jonathan Davies has over 20 years experience in banking, and over 10 years working with derivatives. Jonathan is the senior relationship partner on a number of the G18 banks. Five years ago, he set up DCG limited which was acquired by Sapient Global Markets in 2008. He built the business to 400 specialised consultants focussing in derivatives operations, supporting London, New York and Singapore clients. Before that he spent nine years at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he was responsible for building up the firm's credit derivatives advisory business.He set up and managed the market metrics services jointly with Markit Ltd. This service facilitates the reporting of all derivatives metrics for the G18 group of banks.He also assisted ISDA with the annual Operations Benchmark Survey.

Masud Haq
VP, Energy & Commodities

Masud Haq leads the firm's Global Energy and Commodities business. Since joining Sapient in 1994 he has worked with several major oil companies, merchant energy companies, investment banks, and gas and liquids pipeline companies. He was instrumental in propelling Sapient into a leadership role in the gas and power market in the US following the deregulations in the mid 1990's. In his current role he is responsible for setting strategy and leading key engagements within Sapient's Energy and Commodities client base
Prior to joining Sapient Masud was a research assistant at the MIT Center for Theoretical Physics and he has published in the Annals of Physics (August 1993, H.M. Haq and M. Crescimanno). He currently lives in Houston, TX with his wife and two children.

Milind Godbole
VP, Global Head of Operations

Milind Godbole is Managing Director and Vice-President for Sapient Corporation's Global Markets business. In his role he is responsible for the overall operations of the business unit. Additionally he also plays a leadership role in the overall Delivery strategy for the company.
Prior to his tenure with Sapient, Mr. Godbole was a Sr. Systems Analyst for Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation (SWEC) (1989 - 1996). At SWEC he was responsible for the development and maintenance of all in-house engineering applications required to develop and deploy instrumentation cabling, control room tools, and programming for large petro-chemical refineries.
At Orkay Polyester, Mr. Godbole was responsible for the construction, commissioning and then running the overall instrumentation dept. for the first polyester manufacturing facility in india.
Mr. Godbole received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics Engineering from Karnataka University in India in 1984. He earned his MS in Computer Science in 1989 from University of Louisiana.

Peter Shanley
Director, Global Head of Finance

Peter is the Finance Lead for Global Markets. Peter has worked at Sapient
for over 11 years covering many roles in a variety of functions. As a client executive, business
consultant, and project manager, he has worked with a variety of clients, including US Department
of Defense, United States Marine Corps, Whole Health, Thomas Wiesel Partners, Honda, and Trust
Company of the West. Over the past three years, Peter was the Financial Operations Lead for Sapient's
European business unit.
Prior to Sapient, Peter worked in the financial services industry at Putnam Investments and served
10 years in the United States Marine Corps (reserves). Peter holds a BA in Economics from Tufts
University. He currently lives in Munich, Germany with his wife and two children.

David Newland
VP, Global Head of Process Solutions

David Newland leads the firm's Global Process Solutions business. David joined Sapient in August 2008 as part of the acquisition of the Derivative Consulting Group (DCG). DCG's business is focused on working with Derivatives Industry, including all the major Investment Banks and Vendor Utility Providers to transform the post trade operating environment. David's experience comes from 17 years Operations Leadership within Financial Markets, covering all asset classes of Derivatives and Structured Products.
Prior to joining the Derivatives Consulting Group, David spent 11 years with the Royal Bank of Scotland, managing their Global Operations for Debt Markets.
David has first hand experience of managing a Global Operation's function through a major Bank merger, rapid volume & complexity growth and several major change programs. During 2006, David was instrumental in the creation of a global operating centre in Singapore & was the OTC Deriv Board member for RBS.
Prior to RBS, David spent 6 years with Bank of America where he managed the Derivative Trade Support & Product Control function. David oversaw this function during major technology advances, new product development and the integration of Security Pacific and Bank of America Derivative portfolios.
David is based in London with his wife and 2 children.
